What is Guadua?
Guadua es un Restaurante, Bar y Club de Playa ubicado frente al mar en Punta Zicatela, Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, México.
El nombre de nuestro restaurante proviene de la guadua, un bambú leñoso (el tercero más grande del mundo) utilizado para la construcción por su gran resistencia a las inclemencias de la naturaleza, su flexibilidad y su gran tamaño. Existen en el mundo cerca de 1.000 especies, 500 de ellas en América. Este material que crece en todos los países de América Latina (exceptuando Chile y las Islas de Caribe).*
Desde hace 3.000 años en Japón y China, el bambú ha sido fuertemente relacionado con los principios del Feng-shui, aquellos que sugieren armonía total en todas las cosas, un equilibrio de ambiente y el concierto entre el hombre y su medio.

Guadua is the name of our restaurant-bar and beach club. Located in front of the beach in Punta Zicatela, Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, México.
The name comes from the type of ligneous bamboo (The third biggest worldwide) used for construction for it´s great resistance from natural disasters, it's flexibility, strength and it's great size. In the world there are more than 1,000 species, 500 of them in America. This material that grows in almost every country of America (but Chile and the Caribbean Islands).*
For more than 3,000 years in Japan and China, Bamboo has been strongly related with Feng-shui's principles, those that suggest the total harmony in every little thing an equilibrium in the men - environment relationship.
